Craigslist Account Instructions

If you do not already have a Craigslist account, you will need to create one for your advertising campaign.

New Account Creation (< 5 minutes)

1. Go to https://accounts.craigslist.org/login/signup
2. Enter your email^e address and the verification words
3. Click on Create Account
4. An email will be sent to you with a link to log in to your new account.
5. Enter a Password of your choice
6. Accept the Terms of Use
7. Send us an email with the email address and password you chose

Phone Verification (< 5 minutes)

If we will be posting Service category ads for you at any time, you will need to 'phone verify' your account. That simply means that you will need to enter a landline phone (no cell phones or VoIP lines) that an automated recording will call within moments and provide a number to be entered into the Craiglist site. As soon as you have verified your number, we will be able to begin posting ads with your account. Craiglist initiated this to limit the numbers of accounts being created for the purpose of spamming the Service category with ads.

To get to Phone Verification, in the upper right-hand corner it will say "post new ad in" and have a drop down menu of locations to choose. Choose any location and click on Go.

• Click on Service Offered, then choose any category.
• Click on 'Go to Phone Authentication' on the next page.
• Re-enter your email and password if required.
• Enter your phone number and click on Verify.
• When you receive the call, write down the verification number
• Enter the number into Craigslist and you're finished.
