CMS Explained
Your new website is a Content Management Systeme based on the Open Sourcee platform called Drupale. That means that there is a database in the background managing your website and all its content. Every page, every piece of content, is a separate record within your database. This is what allows us to display content in a variety of ways, including: teasers, full pages, lists, tables, and so on.
Generally speaking, websites are divided into several regions: header, sidebar(s), content and footer. Your website may utilize more or less regions as needed.
Basic site information, like your page text, always appears within the content region.
Blocks can be configured to appear in any region available, but are typically used in one or more sidebars.
