Make your home page about your clients, not you.
The most effective home pages speak directly to clients and the issues or questions they have. Demonstrate that you understand and can help your clients, and they'll be more likely to hire you.
Devote at least one page to each service you offer.
A bullet list of your services is not sufficient. That will not give potential customers enough information about what you do, and it certainly won't help your search engine rankings. Use your professional website to communicate effectively and give your customers as much information as you possibly can. If you need to subdivide service pages to make them more organized and easy to manage, even better.
Ensure visitors to your website can easily contact you.
If your business is the kind where all of your clients want to call you, it's a good idea to put your phone number at the top of every page. Otherwise, it's not a requirement to put contact information on every page of your site, but you should always have a Contact button in a prominent location. Never make customers work to get a hold of you.
Present visitors with a clear Call to Action.
Make sure that you effectively communicate to your visitors what you would like them to do next. It might be as simple as giving them a link to your contact page and asking them to call, to having large graphics and buttons.
